BRAINROT CHESS

Your game stays in your browser.

How the game, its hosting and Google’s advertising services work. English translation updated September 30, 2026.

Game data

The piece positions, move history, bot difficulty and game settings are held in the tab’s memory. The game code does not send your moves to a server or create a player profile.

Closing or reloading the page clears the game. No persistent storage for games is used on your device. Changing the site’s language also opens a fresh game.

Google AdSense and advertising

The site loads the Google AdSense script to prepare and deliver ads and allow the consent message configured in that service to appear. The script does not guarantee that an ad will be shown: this depends on factors including Google’s approval of the site, advertising settings, ad availability and applicable privacy choices.

Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and identifiers to select and measure ads, including based on previous visits to this or other websites. Personalization and uses requiring consent depend on your choices. Loading Google services may also transmit technical information, such as your IP address, device or browser information and the address of the page you visit.

The game code does not send your board position or move history to Google. No Google Analytics tool has been added. Advertising data processing is separate from the local calculation of the game.

Your advertising choices

Google’s consent message presents the purposes and partners involved. “Manage options” lets you choose which permissions to grant. You can revisit your decisions using the privacy choices link provided by Google on the site when that message is deployed.

For Google personalized ads, you can also visit My Ad Center. This Google setting does not replace this site’s consent choices. Tools for choices relating to other providers are available through AboutAds.

The relevant partners and links to their policies are available in the consent message. For Google’s practices, read how Google uses information from partner sites, its privacy policy and its cookie information, which explain purposes and retention periods. Services may process data in different countries under the safeguards described in those policies.

Other cookies and identifiers

The game engine does not create cookies or player profiles. The hosting platform may use mechanisms needed for access to and security of the service. Advertising and consent cookies and identifiers are managed by the services described above.

The AdSense verification tag and ads.txt file identify the advertising publisher. Unlike the AdSense script, these two text elements do not load an external service by themselves.

Connecting to the site

Displaying a page involves transmitting technical information to the hosting provider, including an IP address, the requested page address and browser information. This information enables page delivery and service security. The game running locally does not mean visiting the site is anonymous.

The project’s publisher is presented under the signature AI / AIGames. Contact details for its hosting provider, OpenAI Ireland Ltd, and Cloudflare infrastructure are listed in the legal notice.

Processing performed by the platform and providers is described in the ChatGPT Sites terms, OpenAI’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy. These documents explain their purposes, retention criteria and safeguards for international transfers. The publisher does not maintain a database of player profiles.

Questions and rights

For requests about processing carried out by OpenAI, use its privacy portal or email privacy@openai.com. For Cloudflare’s processing, its privacy policy provides contact details for its data protection officer. For Google and advertising partners, use the contacts in their policies and the choice tools above. These are provider contacts, not a support address for the game.

Depending on the processing concerned, GDPR rights may include access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability. You may submit a complaint to the CNIL.

Links to other sites

Some links, such as the chess.js project link, open another website. That website applies its own privacy policy.

You can consult the CNIL for information about your rights and how to make a personal data complaint.
